A
travel clock is more than just a clock. It can serve as a backup
for those annoying times your electricity blinks out in the middle
of the night. Travel clocks these days are also made to include
CD players, radios, night-lights and sound machines.
Travel clocks make a great gift item for the traveler in your circle
of friends.
Tips on travel clock buying:
· Consider the person for whom you are buying the travel
clock and where he or she is most likely to travel.
· Choose for a clock that shows world time if the person
is likely to travel abroad.
· Choose a clock with a lighted display that is easy to
read in the dark.
· Buy a clock with an alarm. Alarm functions vary from simple
buzzers to talking alarms to alarms that shake you awake. Compact
clock radios are also available and will wake the traveler with
music.
· Make sure the alarm has a snooze button if your favorite
traveler is unlikely to rise and shine when the alarm first sounds.
· Be certain the travel clock is compact. Choose one with
a case if you are worried that the clock face might be damaged in
travel.
· Check to see that any instructions included are easy to
understand and execute.
· Ask about warranties and return policies before purchasing
the clock.
· Wrap the travel clock, and put it in a basket with related
items such as natural jet lag remedies, a time-zone chart and a
flashlight.
