Wall
art is all about using the entire wall as your blank canvas to decorate.
Wall art is not simply about what you hang, it is about where you
hang it, as well. You need to have more than just a beautiful painting
or a wonderful clock. You need to make sure that you hang your beautiful
painting and wonderful clock in the right places.
Wall art can be made up of painting, photographs, clocks, and collectibles.
Your wall art can consist of whatever you want it to. To create
great wall art, it is a good idea to do more than simply put a nail
in the wall and hang something from it. For instance, you can attach
a shelf or multiple shelves to your wall so that you can set some
painting on them or vases or whatever you want. Your wall art does
not have to be totally one-dimensional.
Wall art can enter the third dimension, as well, when you use shelves
to display decorations. You can also make three dimensional artwork
by putting your favorite mementos inside a standard frame, leaving
out the glass. Having three dimensions is a great idea for wall
art.
You can also stencil art directly onto the wall. You do not simply
need to hang up clocks and mirrors and paintings on your wall -
you can turn the actually wall into a piece of art, was well.
When it comes to hanging your wall art, it is all about balance.
You may want gather all that you are putting on your wall and think
about where you want to put each item and what it will look like.
Before hanging up wall art, be sure to think first about placement
- you do not want to realize you do not like the set up after
all of the nails are in the wall.
You can start with your wall art by hanging up your biggest and
best piece - a piece that all of your other wall art simply
adds to. If you do not have a main piece, you can start by putting
up shelves. Once you have your shelves up, experiment by moving
your items around. You may want to put tall items on the higher
shelves and short items on the smaller ones. You may want to mix
tall and short items. You may also want to think about layering
items for added effect.
Whatever you decide to hang on your wall or stencil onto it, etc.,
remember that wall art should be fun. After all, wall art is art!
