Iconic Clock in Minneapolis City Hall

Hello everyone and welcome back to the Largewallclocks.net blog! In one of our previous posts we discussed one of the world’s most iconic clocks, the clock in the Big Ben tower in London, England. The Big Ben clock tower features the world’s “second largest four faced chiming clock".The largest four faced chiming clock is found in Minneapolis City Hall, Minnesota.1

The clock in Minneapolis City Hall measures 24 feet, 6 inches.2 The faces of the clock are “18 inches wider than those of”2 the clock in the Big Ben tower.2 The clock tower is 345 feet tall and was once the tallest building in Minneapolis up until the 1920s.2 The tower also features a 15 bell chime.2

Overall it a pretty cool clock tower!
